The first live final has not happened. Nobody has been paid a prize by us, and this page will not pretend otherwise. When the ten finalists have stood on the stage in Khon Kaen, their results go here the same week, by entry number, with names and photographs only where a parent has said yes in writing.

Before there was a prize, there was a girl at Ban Han Hee School in Rattanaburi who stood up on November 18, 2010 and told a story in English. She won gold at งานศิลปหัตถกรรมนักเรียน. She got a certificate, and nothing else, and nowhere to go next.

Her name is Ploypailin Moonsri. She is a Thai teacher now, and she is the reason there is prize money. Her story is on ploy.com, in her own Thai.
Every district champion in Isan since ครั้งที่ 70 has been, like her, the champion of nothing further. That is the gap this competition fills, and it is why the first names on this page will be children from the 2569 district rounds, not from anywhere else.
What this page will look like
Ten finalists, one afternoon, published the same week

Ten entry numbers, ten scores out of 100, three judges' names, the venue and the date. First, second and third by entry number. A child's name or photograph appears here only with a parent's written permission, which can be withdrawn with one line to us; a child under 18 is never named without it, and never with a face and a name together.
Earlier versions of this site listed "winners" for 2024 and 2025 from a competition structure that no longer exists and that we never ran. They were placeholders, they have been removed, and we are sorry for the confusion. If you read them and formed an impression of a large annual event, that impression was wrong and it was our fault. The corrections list is on the about page.

Ask your school to enter them in the district Story Telling round. It is free. A gold medal there, then one video to us, then Khon Kaen.
